Timothy’s journey was defined by service and discovery. He entered the United States Air Force in 1955, a path that took him to stations all around the world. While stationed in Scotland, he met and married his first wife, Mary McHenry. To this union, two sons, Rico and Paul, were born. They moved their family to Rapid City, South Dakota, where he continued and completed his dedicated military career.
After his discharge from the Air Force, Timothy moved to Jersey City, New Jersey, where he began a long and dedicated career as a truck driver. Eventually, the road led him to North Carolina, where he lived in Raleigh; it was there that he met and married his beloved Brenda Meeks, before he finally settled in Zebulon until his final days.
Timothy was reunited in eternity with his beloved wives, Mary McHenry and Brenda Mayner, and his cherished granddaughter who preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his parents, Timothy Mayner Sr. and Virginia Mayner; his siblings, Eloise Grant, Geraldine Hutchinson, Barbara Hutchinson, and Herbert Mayner, and his daughter-in-law Deirdre Mayner.
Timothy’s memory will be lovingly carried forward by his sons, Rico Mayner (Annette) and Paul Mayner; his sisters, Betty Evans and Margie Hinton; and his 11 devoted grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives he touched so deeply.
