Tahiara Nashay Clark

Tahiara Nashay Clark, better known as Shay was born on June 24, 1996 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Smithfield, North Carolina to KaSette Clark and Eric Poston. She answered our Heavenly Father's call on April 8, 2021.
Shay was a devoted daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend. She graduated from Clayton High School in 2014 and received her Bachelor's degree from North Carolina Central University in 2018. She was the founder and Executive Director of PROOF (People Rising Over Obstacles Favorably) to help children and young adults with chronic illnesses. Shay was also a motivational speaker and blogger. She worked for Duke University Hospital until her health failed.
She was known for her smile and bright spirit. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, shopping, reading, and sharing her story of hope, healing, and God. Her favorite role was being a big sister to Kabari which she fulfilled until her last breath.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather Willie Poston, and maternal grandfather Billie Thorpe, to whom she missed dearly.
She leaves to cherish her mother, KaSette Clark; father, Eric Poston; daddy, Gregory Brantley; brothers, Kabari Brantley, Malik Poston, Erion Poston, Eric Poston; grandmothers, Bettie Mitchell and Janet Poston; great grandmother Jessie Terry; Godmother, Karen Richardson; Godson Prince Rome McMillian; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
