Ruby J. Beverly

Ruby J. Beverly departed this world peacefully on 10-07-2024 at the age of 77. She was a

cherished wife/mother/grandmother/sister/friend whose love, compassion, and kindness touched

the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Ruby J Beverly was born on May 11, 1947 in Washington, DC to Rossie and Mary Foushee. She

was raised in Washington, DC, where she cultivated deep-rooted values of family, friendship,

and service to others. She attended Dunbar High School and pursued a career in Restaurant

She married Edward T. Beverly on 06-23-1995, and together they built a life filled with love,

laughter, and unforgettable memories. The two were a part of the founding members of

Watergate Van Club. The two loved to travel with their grandkids to every Van Fest possible.

Ruby J, was the heart and soul of her family, always providing guidance, support, and an endless

supply of love. Her children, Senetra, Samantha, Sharon, and Kenji were the pride and joy of her

life. But we all know the true joy was her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-

grandchildren. She was blessed to see 5 generations that she was able to instill values of

compassion, perseverance, and kindness.

She was a person who took great pride in giving back to her community. In her later years, she

was the care provider for her grandchildren. Her selflessness and generosity knew no bounds,

and she leaves behind a legacy of service and love.
