Rosa Lee Barnes

Ms. Rosa Lee Barnes was born on July 6, 1926, to the late Lina and Pete Barnes of Pine Level, NC. She departed this life on January 3, 2021, at Johnston UNC Health in Smithfield, NC. Rosa Lee was a member of Giles Chapel OFWB Church. Rosa Lee enjoyed participating in conversations with all who called or passed by. She had a great memory. If she did not remember the answer at the moment, she would call you with the answer later. She loved her television shows and daily activities with other Smithfield Manor residents. She was known for her love of a good home-cooked meal.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter, Mrs. Barbara Sherard (James) of Selma, NC; her granddaughters, Mia Sherard and Tysha Sherard of Knightdale, NC and Jera Hunter (Rodney) of Killeen, TX; her great-grandchildren, Cayden, Rayne, and Harmony; great-nieces, Sherry and Bridget; great great-nephews and niece, Robert, Daniel, Machez, and Brea. A special friend, Earlene Ruffin, and a host of relatives and friends.
