March 3, 1952 — February 4, 2022

Robert L. Beers Jr. was born and raised in Hazel Park, Mi. At the age of 17, he left his family home to join the US Marine corp. and was very proud to have served our country in VietNam. From there he transferred to the Ford Rawsonville Plant in Ypsilanti, and worked as an electrical engineer, where he resided until his retirement in 2006. As an avid bicyclist, he enjoyed riding the many nature trails of southeastern Michigan. He was father to Ashley Beers, that passed away 2016 at the early age of 28.
In 2020, he sold his home and moved to Clayton, North Carolina where he continued his bicycling hobby, exploring the Mountains to Sea Trail and riding from Clayton to Raleigh and back where he lived out his retirement to be near his brother and his family. He is survived by his younger brother Richard Beers, his wife Elora Beers and their adult children Justin Beers & Chelsea Snyder and their spouses Amy Beers and Ryan Snyder of Cary, NC.
