Richard Allen Badger, Jr.

Richard Allen Badger, Jr., age 59, of Four Oaks passed away peacefully on 8/8/2026 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC. Allen was born 4/4/1967 to his late parents Richard A. Badger and Jean Goodman Badger in Raleigh. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brother, Brett Badger, his uncles Guy Badger III, Wesley Goodman, and Kenny Goodman. Allen is survived by his step-father, Phil Massingill, step-brother Jon Massingill (Danielle), step-sister, Julie Edmonds, his niece Jessica Badger-Tilleman (Jesper), his aunts Sheila Beaudry (Rich), Sherry Shapiro (Svi), Sharlene Lambert (Larry), Sharon Blevins (Ken) and his uncle, Tim Badger (Darla) and numerous cousins. He is also survived by his ex-wife Lorie Bailey Badger.

Allen was a musician before his health and eyesight disabled him. He was known as a wonderful person with many friends and he will be missed.

The service will be held at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield on 8/13/2026 at 4:00pm. Burial will be at Jefferson Cemetery next to his father in Ashe County at a later date.
