Peaches Decol Sanders

Peaches Sanders, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the age of 41. Her bright spirit, unwavering strength, and boundless love touched the lives of all who knew her. Recognized for her uplifting smile and generous heart, Peaches embodied grace and courage throughout every chapter of her life. She inspired others with her determination, kindness, and remarkable ability to make those around her feel valued and truly seen.

Though her time here was far too brief, the imprint she leaves behind is profound and enduring. Peaches will be remembered not only for the life she lived but also for the love she gave—a love that continues to echo through the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. The lessons she instilled in her children will forever guide them; her presence will live on in their smiles, accomplishments, and the values she nurtured within them.

Born in Germany on October 2, 1984, to Gregory and Cherry Sanders, Peaches moved to North Carolina during her early childhood, where she attended school in Johnston County. She proudly graduated from Clayton High School and later continued her education at North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro.

Peaches is survived by her son, Demetrice King of Dunn, NC; two daughters, Journey Bennett and Adriana Jones of Henderson, NC; her father, Gregory Maurice Sanders (Leandia) of Kuwait; her mother, Cherry Smith Sanders of Willow Springs, NC; three sisters, Angel Sanders and Carol Sanders of Alexandria, VA, and Vonette Hernandez of Middlesex, NC; and two brothers, Greg Sanders of Smithfield, NC, and Rufus Naparan of the Philippines. She is also survived by her paternal grandmother, Mary Sanders of Smithfield, NC; seven aunts; two uncles; her devoted friend, Tavis Bennett; and a host of great-uncles, great-aunts, cousins, and many cherished friends.

Her legacy of love, strength, and compassion will continue to shine brightly through the many lives she touched.
