Pastor Nina Fave Davis affectionately known to many as simply Pastor Nina. was born July 20.1967 in Washington. D.C. She was the daughter of Bishop Thomas Davis and the late Linda Faye Davis. As the daughter of a pastor. she lived in many cities throughout her childhood. Pastor Nina graduated from Smithfield-Selma High School in 1985. Thereafter she attended Tomlinson College. in Cleveland. Tennessee where she matriculated in 1987. Pastor Nine accepted Christ as her Savior at the tender age of 8. She accepted her call to preach while still a first-year student at Tomlinson College. preaching her initial sermon that same vear After college. Pastor Nina worked for many vears with the NC. Department of Corrections. Despite the demands of her job. she was a very active member of The Church of God of Prophecy: She worked at the summer youth camp for years went on numerous mission trips and faithfully participated in Women in Ministry: Pastor Nina was committed to her call to preach accepting invitations wherever God opened a door for her to share the gospel. including. conferences all over the United States. mission trips to Jamaica, the US. Virgin Islands and Africa. She became the pastor at Victory Life Christian Center: Church of God of Propheer located in Elizabeth Citv. NC in 1997 serving diligently for 27 years Her Impact there is part of her lasting legacy of love for God, love for people and love for service. While God was Pastor Nina's first commitment her second commitment was to family and friends. It was her nature to expend all her energy in serving God. taking care of those she loved and staving connected to friends. If vou ask Pastor Nina about her family: she would say without hesitation that she had a big family with three brothers and four sisters.
She was a consistent source of love and support for her lather. her beloved Mama E. her siblings. her nieces. her nephews and every friend she made all along the way: Preceded in death by her brother Derek Johnson of Pittsburgh.
