Nancy Raynor Anderson passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 7, 2025. Born on May 1, 1950, in Ingram Township, Smithfield, North Carolina, she was a beloved daughter of the late Aaron Patrick and Eva Allen Raynor. Nancy was preceded in death by her siblings: Marie Raynor, Doris Langdon, George Raynor, and Mary “Christine” Vick.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Billy “Ray” Anderson Jr., Michael Anderson, and Cathy Hill and her husband, Kevin. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Tabitha Callon, Billy Ray Anderson III, Heven Anderson, Missy Bryan, Airelle Conner, Jonathan Anderson, Jordan Hill, and Silas Hill. Additionally, she leaves behind her former spouse, Billy Anderson Sr.; her siblings, Kathryn Ray and Edward Raynor and wife Genny; as well as many beloved nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Throughout her life, Nancy embraced creative pursuits such as quilting, making ceramics, and crafting porcelain dolls. She was known as the family historian, dedicating her time to researching and sharing the family ancestry, a treasure for all to enjoy. The love she had for her family was profound, yet her deepest devotion was to the Lord. Nancy was an active volunteer at her home church, Smyrna Original Free Will Baptist, where she served as a Sunday school teacher.
Now reunited with her Heavenly Father, Nancy holds a special place in our hearts, and we look forward to the day we see her once again.
