Melton "Rabbi" Atkinson was born July 1,
1937 to Kentchison Atkinson and Gladys Mae
Pierce Atkinson. Mr. Atkinson passed on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at the Hospice House of Smithfield, North Carolina.
Melton was preceded in death by his parents Gladys Mae Atkinson and Kentchison Atkinson; his (wife) Cessie Mae Atkinson a sister Walcie Atkinson and one brother James Atkinson.
He leaves precious memories with two sisters, Lola Mae Earp of Selma, NC, Trudy Hoover of Philadelphia, one brother, Joe Atkinson (Josephine) of Kenly, NC; two daughters Annie Williams (Wallace) of Selma, NC, and Estelle Hinton (Billy Ray) of Middlesex, NC; one son, James Atkinson of Middlesex, NC; fourteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews other loving relatives and friends.
