**Remembering Mae Helen Griffis**
Mae Helen Griffis, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 80. Her vibrant spirit, unwavering strength, and boundless love touched the lives of all who knew. Known for uplifting smile and generous heart, Mae exemplified grace and courage throughout every chapter of her life. She inspired those around her with her kindness and her remarkable ability to make others feel welcome.
Mae Helen Griffis was born in Wake County, North Carolina, to the late Goldie Mae Hinton and the late Dal Cooper. She attended school in Garner, North Carolina, and worked at Garner Consolidated until her health declined. Affectionately known as "Mae Mae," she became a beloved figure among the staff and residents at the facility, where her joy for dancing and engaging with others drew people from all over to stop by, say hello, or share a conversation.
Her legacy will endure in the hearts of her family and friends. She is predeceased by her son, Ronnie death Griffis and is survived by her four daughters, Patricia Griffis, Betty Griffis, Charlene Griffis, and Phyllis Jenkins; two sons, Darren Griffis and Chris Griffis; her 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and her siblings: three brothers, Arthur Griffis (Gloria), Edward Hinton (Esther), and Glennie Hinton, along with three sisters, Mary Pair (Glen), Julie Hinton Cousar (Fernandas), and Betsy Hinton.
Mae Helen Griffis will be deeply missed, but her love and warmth will forever resonate in the lives she touched.
