Matthew G. Brown

Matthew 'Bo' Brown was born February 13, 1952 to James Brown and the late Jessie Brown-Lassiter of Dunn N.C. He departed this life on December 16, 2009 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro N.C

He graduated from Smithfield Selma School. Matthew was a loving people person and a helper to all. He was self-employed until his health declined.

He was a member, minister, and deacon of the Church Of God of Prophecy in Selma N.C . He was the pastor of the Elizabethtown Church of God of Prophecy for eight years.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Dorthy Brown, of the home; three sons, Fernando of Clayton N.C, Taj(Nicky) of Four Oaks N.C, and Ron of Clayton N.C: three grandchildren: Devonte, Kaleel and Drew.
Three brothers: Thomas 'Rat' Brown (Joann) of Brawley California, Linwood 'Tiddy' Brown and James 'Chris' Brown, both of Smithfield N.C: Three sisters: Cynthia 'Cymp' Brown Richardson (Tyrone) of Smithfield N.C, Rosa 'Bet' Brown McMillian (Allen) of Ellenwood Georgia and Sylvia ' Debe' Brown Williams (Ricky) of Smithfield N.C,two brother-in-laws: Donald Lassiter of Smithfield N.C and Roger Lassiter(Loretta) of Wendell N.C, two sister-in-laws: Sandra Monroe(John) of Wilson Mills and Tillie Faye Lassiter of Smithfield N.C. One mother-in-law, Margaret Lassiter of Smithfield N.C, As well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
