Lubraine Pierre, known lovingly as “NaNa” or “Jean,” gained his wings on October 27, 2025, at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Smithfield, North
Carolina. Jean was born on December 13, 1951, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, where he lived until the age of 29. He later moved to North Carolina and
worked in farming for many years. Those who knew Jean will remember his genuine and loving spirit. He was always ready to help
anyone—whether it was a lifelong friend or someone he had just met. With his bright energy and warm smile, he could light up any room.
Jean enjoyed fishing, karate, and soccer. He also loved watching his favorite shows, Family Feud and The Andy Griffith Show.
He leaves behind cherished family and friends who will miss him dearly.
