Lillie Mae Barnes

Ms. Lillie Barnes was born on December 3, 1923 to the late Lina and Pete Barnes in Pine Level, N.C. She departed this life on March 11, 2019 at Smithfield Manor, Smithfield N.C. Lillie enjoyed singing in the church choir, gardening, cooking, caring for her siblings. She was known by her great nieces to be quite the fashionista.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her sister, Ms. Rosa Barnes of Smithfield Manor in Smithfield N.C.; her niece, Mrs. Barbara Sherard (James) of Selma, N.C.; her great nieces, Sherry, Bridget, Mia, Tysha, and Jera (Rodney); great great nephews and nieces, Robert, Daniel, Machez, Brea, Cayden and Rayne and a host of relatives and friends.
My Lord and I are quite a team; There's nothing we can't do, For if I'm too weak to do it, He's there to pull me through. Sometimes I'm ready to give up, Almost too weak to pray, But somehow He inspires me to fight another day.
