Leamon Jones, Jr was born on August 14, 1942 in Johnston County, NC to the late Leamon Jones, Sr and Flora Marie Anderson. He went home peacefully to his eternal home on December 9, 2020 from his earthly home in Apex, NC where he lived over forty years.
Leamon attended Richard B. Harrison High school and graduated. After that he continued his education in law enforcement. He was employed by both the Town of Smithfield and Town of Selma Police Departments and later retired from Central Prison in Raleigh, NC. Leamon also owned a car repair business named L & A.
Celebrating his homegoing are: his two daughters, Pamela Nichols of Smithfield, NC and Barbara Jones of Winston-Salem, NC; his son, Leamon Jones, III of Selma, NC; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren, who are living and one who is deceased; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Hattie and Braswell of Goldsboro, NC, Hiawatha Jones of Goldsboro, NC and Joyce Ward of Dudley, NC; nine nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
