Even then, La’bresha decided to make her grand entrance!A lifelong resident of Smithfield, La’bresha was a beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend whose life touched many people in ways that will never be forgotten.La’bresha departed this life on August 21, 2026, at the age of 29. Although her life was far too short, the memories she created and the love she shared with those around her will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and loved ones. She loved sharing laughter and jokes with her family and spending time with the people closest to her. She especially cherished the lifelong bonds she shared with her sisters, with whom she grew up from childhood. Her favorite things included listening to music, shopping, enjoying outdoor activities, drawing, and sketching. She was a true country girl who found joy in the simple, special moments that will always be remembered by those who loved her. La’bresha had a wonderful personality and could converse with anyone. She was very outspoken, yet always remained a sweet and respectful young lady.La’bresha was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Beatrice Kirtz-Grier, and her grandfather, Moses Cofield. She leaves to cherish her memory her father, Jerome Kirtz; her sisters, Keyonna Kirtz and Beyonna Kirtz; her grandmother, Belinda Cofield; her aunts, Bridgette Freeman and Beverly DuBose (Christopher); her uncles, Travis Freeman, whom she affectionately considered her favorite uncle, and Damaka Cofield; her paternal grandmother, Lindafay Kirtz; her paternal aunts, Toya Kirtz and Tonya Kirtz; and her paternal uncles, Jermaine Kirtz, Winston Jr. Kirtz, and Vonqual Kirtz; along with extended family members, cousins, friends, and loved ones who will forever hold her memory close.La’bresha’s life held both joyful moments and difficult seasons, yet the challenges she faced never defined the fullness of who she was. She was a loving daughter, devoted sister, cherished granddaughter, caring niece, and treasured friend whose laughter, honesty, and warm spirit brought meaning to the lives of those around her. Her story is not remembered only for its struggles, but for the love she gave, the memories she created, and the lasting impression she made.As we grieve her passing, may we find comfort in the moments that made La’bresha smile, the laughter she shared, and the bonds of love that connected her to her family and friends. Though her journey ended far too soon, the beauty of her life will continue through the people she loved and the memories they carry forward. In honoring her, we celebrate not only the time she had, but the unique and unforgettable person she was.Rest peacefully, La’bresha. Your life mattered, your love remains, and your memory will forever be a blessing. You may have made your grand entrance during a storm, but you left behind a light that will never fade.
