Joseph Coursey

Joseph M. Coursey passed peacefully on April 28,

2025. He was born in 1948 in Chester,

Pennsylvania, to Thomas F. Coursey Sr. and

Elizabeth Mangan Coursey.

He is survived by his son, Joseph Coursey Jr.,

two grandchildren, and his sisters, Dolores

Macrino (John) of Yorktown, VA, and Christina

Parker (David) of Brookhaven, PA. He is also

remembered by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his

brother Thomas Coursey Jr., and his sisters Mary

Linstrom, Catherine Methvin, Frances

Brecheman, and Betsy Gattone.

Joseph was a graduate of St. James Catholic Boys

High School. He proudly served in the United

States Army for four years. Following his

military service, he worked for Delta Air Lines

and later for Boeing Helicopter Company.

He will be remembered for his quiet strength,

loyalty to his family, and the love he shared with

those around him.

Though Joseph’s journey here is done,

His love and legacy carry on.

In quiet strength, he led the way,

A beacon bright, both night and day.

His kindness touched all those he knew,

With loyalty so strong and true.

Though we may part, we will not grieve,

For in our hearts, he will never leave.

His spirit lives in all we do,

In every smile, in every view.

Though his path has come to end,

His love remains, our constant friend
