JD Copper was one of a kind. I've known him for over 20 years he
was a friend, a brother, and a child of God. He has been a member of
the lighthouse Christian Fellowship since 2001.
His number one hobby was fishing in the Neuse River, His love and
passion were his fiance of three years Ms. Rhonda Hutchinson. He was
a five-star diesel mechanic on 18-wheelers for 40-plus years.
JD was also the very first man to send me on my mission trip and in 2000
to Honduras when I had no money.
JD is well known as the moped man of Johnston County and he has
gone out of his way to help thousands of people on the side of the road
with a bag between his legs on a moped to fix free of charge there
cars. He loved his family and his sisters as well as making homemade
burritos and raw steak.
He leaves to cherish his memory nieces Shaneena Landry, Christina
Kehley (Chris), Half-sister Linda Everett (John David), Pam Clayton
(James) and a host of great nieces and nephews.
