A Time to Be Born: Brother Jasper McNair was born on July 17, 1939, in Wayne County, North Carolina, to the late Emma McNair. A Time to Grow Jasper attended Wayne County Public Schools. He worked as an over-the-road truck driver for many years before retiring from Wake County Public Schools, where he faithfully served as a custodian.

A Time to Love: Jasper was a devoted husband and family man. On July 3, 2011, he married the love of his life, Bernice Bryant, with whom he shared a loving and devoted marriage.

A Time of Peace & A Time to Die: On the late evening of July 26, 2026, God sent His heavenly angels to carry Jasper home, where he entered into eternal rest.

A Time to Mourn: Jasper was preceded in death by his mother, Emma McNair, and his son, Terry Lamont McNair, Sr. He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving wife, Bernice McNair, of the home; three stepchildren, Bryan Bryant of Smithfield, North Carolina, Bernita Warren of Selma, North Carolina, and Alexis Evans of Ayden, North Carolina; one daughter-in-law, Jerrilyn McNair of Wayne County, North Carolina; eleven grandchildren: Shaqonda, Ashley, Terry Jr., Taylor, Destiny, Lamya, Brashear, Alaiysia, Amari, Maciah, and Gavin, all of North Carolina; two siblings, Willie Davis (May) of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Bertha Sanders of Garner, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
