Jaqkwon ''Cowboy'' Anthony Mingus

May 28, 1997 — November 21, 2020

Ja'Qkwon Anthony Mingus (CowBoy) of Smithfield, NC passed away unexpectedly on November 21, 2020 (Saturday). Our loved one stepped across the threshold to begin eternal life. He completed his life here, but his beautiful memories will forever be cherished in the hearts of his family and friends. JaQkwon was born May 28, 1997 in San Diego, California at Balboa, a military hospital. He attended West Johnston High school. He loved the country life and spending time with his Grandfather who affectionately gave him the name "CowBoy" and cousins. Cowboy had his own relationship with anyone that he encountered as well as of members of his family. CowBoy had a smile that would brighten someone's day; which will be unforgettable. He loved wearing his cowboy boots all year long. JaQkwon would always be eating hotdogs, pizza, and spaghetti and meatballs; no matter what holiday it was. The dancing and singing out loud always made us laugh. One charming and good hearted young man that loved hard without a doubt.
JaQkwon leaves his precious memories: his mother, Senora Lee Price of Raleigh, NC; his father, Sterling Robert Keller of Petersburg, Virginia; his loyal grandparents, Robert and Clara Price of Smithfield, NC; one sister, Ja'mon Sharonique Price-Stonestreet of Smithfield, NC; one brother, Donavan Joshua Herring of Raleigh, NC; one niece, Niaela Clarabeth Rios-Price of Smithfield, NC; nine aunts, Genevive Hodges (Earl) of Smithfield, NC, Genetta Hardy (Joe) of Smithfield, NC, Judy Deeds of Raleigh, NC, Sheila Hardy of Smithfield, NC, Mary Brown (Neil) of Smithfield, NC, Brenda Harlee(Chris) of Smithfield, NC, Belynda Revis (James) of Four Oaks, NC, and Nicolette Price of Raleigh, NC; one uncle, Robert Price Jr. (Evette) of Clayton, NC; two great uncles, Frank Hodges of Smithfield, NC and Joe Hodges (Ethel) of Smithfield, NC; five great aunts, Doris Price of Smithfield, NC, Lelah Price of Smithfield, NC, Nell Price of Smithfield, NC, Sally Smith of Clayton, NC, and Brenda Hodges of Smithfield, NC; a plenty of cousins; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
