Helen Ruth Lemon Rogers

Helen Ruth Lemons Rogers was born on November 25, 1938 to the late Ruth Lemons and Willie Odham in Bennettsville, SC. She departed this life peacefully on November 29, 2018 at Barbour Court in Smithfield, NC.
Helen received her education in Marlboro County, SC. She was employed at the Jerold Plant for many years. She was subsequently employed by KR Edwards Tobacco Company. Helen joined the Powerhouse Of Prayer Holiness Church in Selma, NC under the leadership of Bishop Bobby Watson. She was a faithful member until her health declined. She loved cooking and spending time with her family. Helen often helped others and never turned anyone from her door. Her favorite color was dark blue. She loved her children and grandchildren.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth Lemons and Willie Odham and one son, William Batts. She leaves to cherish her memories: six Children, Willie Rogers (Barbara) of Micro, NC, Robert Rogers (Tonya) of Selma, NC, Carolyn Humphrey (Donnie) of Micro, NC, Alice Rogers of Pikeville, NC, Jeffrey Rogers, High Point, NC (Alesha) and Joyce Davis of Selma, NC; one aunt, Rosa L Crisp of Clayton, NC; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-seven great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, one special friend, Mother Lola Earp; and a host of other relatives and friends.
