Ernestine Barrett of Smithfield passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, in Clarksville, Tennessee.
Ernestine Barrett was born to Leila Smith on February 28, 1953, daughter of Usher Smith who is both deceased. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her husband, Aubrey Barrett Jr. of 52 years; daughters, Regina Primm (Mike) and Clematine Barrett (Ronnie); son, Tyrone Barrett; and daughters, Sharon Barrett and Julia Barrett. She is the grandmother of six grandchildren Antonio, Tawun, Davion, Mikaela, Zariah, and Elijah. She is also survived by three sisters Barbara Smith, Cherry Torres, and Patricia Atkinson. One sister-in-law Pearline Barrett. She is preceded in death by two brothers Quincy and Walter Smith. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Ernestine Barrett had a bright and energetic personality. She is known for the ability to notice when people needed her help. She touches many lives with her generosity and passion for life. She had an uncanny ability to reach so many people in a deep and positive way. She is the true definition of a daughter, mother, wife, and friend. An earthly angel who has now gained her wings in heaven. She will truly be missed by many.
