Erica Lennon

With much love spread and many memories shared, our beloved Erica Shontae Lennon accepted her angel's invitation into the kingdom on Friday, December 15, 2023, at WakeMed Hospital in Raleigh, NC. As a result, our hearts are less bright, but we know the heavens are filled with extra doses of love, joy, peace and laughter.
Erica was born December 14, 1985, in Whiteville, NC to the late Gary Lendale Lennon and Mary Elizabeth Lennon She was educated in the Whiteville Public School System. She earned a certification in nursing assisting.
As an CNA she worked at Premier Living in Lake Waccamaw, NC and later moved to Raleigh and worked at Sunrise Senior Living until her sickness. After, not working for four years due to health issue, she decided to try something new and started working at Child’s World in Knightdale, NC. She really enjoyed working with the kids and loved them all as her own.
Erica accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal savior at a early age while attending Atkinson Temple FBH Church. She was well known in the church for her singing, and she loved leading songs. After relocating to Raleigh, NC. She joined Divine Restoration Worship Center in Garner, NC under the leadership of Apostle Everton Harris. She served on the Usher Board and Pastoral Aid Committee.
Erica was predeceased by her parents, Gary Lendale Lennon and Mary Elizabeth Lennon and son Makari Lennon.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory; two sisters Shamica Hannah, and Porsha (Edwin) Anyoka of Knightdale, NC. One brother Demetri Lennon of Chadbourn, NC. One nephew Azayden Lennon and one niece Za’Nariya Hannah both of Knightdale, NC. Two aunts Karen Coleman of Fairmont, NC and Bernadire Lennon of Whiteville, NC. Two uncles Donnie Hannah of Whiteville, NC and Gary Lennon of Virigina; a host of cousins, relatives, friends, and church family.
