Deborah Ann Howard Brogden

Deborah Howard Brogden, 63, of Goldsboro, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023. She was born to the late William “Bill” Howard, Sr. and Mary Howard of Goldsboro on March 18, 1960. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her older brother Leonard Howard, and younger sister Lola Howard.

Deborah was a proud member of the Goldsboro congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and loved witnessing to all those with whom she came in contact. She was also a beloved beautician in Goldsboro who served the community for over 35 years. She will be remembered for her love of family, friends, and horses. Her light will continue to shine.

Deborah is survived by her husband Gary Brogden of Goldsboro. Her daughters Mary Steele (DuVonn) of Suffolk, Virginia; Whitney Figueredo (Miguel) of Portsmouth, Virginia; and Ronique De Sa of Pompano Beach, Florida; seven grandchildren Cameran, Jayden, and Myleah Steele, Jaxon Swinson, Jordan and Jasen Figueredo, and Gianni Smithwick; Mother Mary Howard of Goldsboro; Siblings William Howard, Jr. (Colette) of Greensboro, North Carolina; Cynthia Howard of Goldsboro, and God sister LaTonya McKellery of Severn, Maryland. Deborah also leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
