Mrs. Connie Jacquelyn Johnson-Wilson was born on December 24, 1954, in Clayton, North Carolina, to Doc Connie Johnson and Dinah Marie Clark. A true "daddy's girl," Connie shared a special bond with her father. She attended Smithfield-Selma High School and graduated in 1971.

Connie was a faithful servant of the Lord whose bright spirit touched the lives of those around her. To know Connie was to know someone remarkably brilliant and truly gifted. She was a genuine jack-of-all-trades who was never afraid of a challenge. There was rarely a problem she could not solve or a task she could not accomplish.

For much of her life, Connie made her home and built her career in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia area. Throughout the years, she

shared her talents across many fields. She worked with Jerrold's Fabrication Company and Burlington Mills and served as a switchboard operator for Carolina Telephone Company. She was also employed by Bell Atlantic and Mack Trucking Company in Washington, D.C. Connie was especially gifted with her hands. She was a skilled seamstress, a licensed cosmetology instructor in Delaware, and a talented carpenter. She enjoyed building, crafting, and creating custom pieces, especially when her talents could be used to help someone else.

She also had a wonderful eye for beauty and a deep appreciation for fashion and interior decorating. Connie carried herself with style and grace and was truly a fancy lady in every sense. She remained active within her church community and devoted much of her time and heart to caring for her family and friends.

On August 20, 2026, Connie departed this earthly life and entered eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her father, Doc Connie Johnson, and her mother, Dinah Marie Clark. Connie's love and legacy will continue through her devoted daughter, Portia Johnson, and her son, Quentin R. Wilson; her brothers, Celemis L. Clark, Esq., Timothy A. Johnson, and Anthony "Chubz" Johnson; and her loving sister, Cynthia J. Holiday (Anthony).

She also leaves to cherish her memory her two beloved grandchildren, Chase and Amarion Johnson; one cherished great-grandchild; a host of loving nieces and nephews, including Erik, Mardese, Danah, and Caprecia; and countless other relatives and friends.

Connie was a rare and treasured gift to her family. Her brilliance, creativity, faith, and unmistakable spirit will be deeply and sincerely missed by all who knew and loved her.
