Claude Earl Miles

Claude Earl Miles was born on December 4, 1942 to the late Odella McAllister Theet and James (Frog) Miles. He departed this life peacefully on November 17, 2014 at his home in Clayton, North Carolina.
Claude attended Johnston County Schools and worked for
Public Service Company of North Carolina for 31 years. He
dedicated his life to Christ and joined Gospel Temple Baptist Church.
He was well known for saying I'll check you later'' He would be
seen on his riding lawn mower on any given Saturday (spring,
summer, winter or fall) or just tinkering with his automobiles. Everyone knew he kept a well-manicured lawn. He will truly be missed by his loved ones and the many lives and hearts of those he
touched.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Constance Woodley of Jarratt, VA and two brothers-in-laws, Albert Williams, Sr. of Clayton, NC and Rufus Woodley of Jarratt, VA.

Claude leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Joyce Miles
of the home; two daughters, Carletta Jackson of Clayton, NC and
Vernessa Woods (Harry) of Charlotte, NC; two sons, Fleming Stancil
(Renee) of Queens, NY and Andre Stancil of Springfield, MO; four sisters, Shirley Sanders (Leon) and Janet Lois Williams of Clayton, NC, Diane Love of Park Ridge, NJ and Lillie Jean Covington of
Raleigh, NC., one brother Mikle Theet Sr., (Stephanie) of Knightdale,
NC; six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and
friends.
