Cassandra Robinette Ward Williams

June 20, 1976 — January 2, 2021

Minister Cassandra Robinette Ward Williams (who was affectionately called "Pee Wee" by the family) was born to the late Pastor Nellie and Deacon Clyde Ward, Sr. on June 20, 1976 in Johnston County, North Carolina. She transitioned from this earthly life on January 2, 2021 at home. Cassandra was the youngest child of eighteen children born to her parents. She was married to Derek Williams and to this union, two children were born.

Cassandra was educated in Johnston County Public School System. She graduated from Smithfield-Selma Senior High School in 1994. She received an Associate degree in Office System Technology from Johnston Community College. Cassandra's vocational history consisted of 10 years as an Income Tax Preparer with H & R Block in Smithfield, NC. She was a certified Pharmacy Technician and was employed by Wal-Greens Pharmacy for 15 years and later worked for Realo Drug. Cassandra was currently employed by the Johnston County Public School System as a Long-term Substitute Teacher at Smithfield-Selma High School.

Cassandra took great pleasure in caring for her many great nieces and nephews as well as other family members. She loved reading, crossword puzzles, and most of all SINGING. Cassandra was very humorous and had the ability to make everyone in the room laugh. She was truly "the sunshine on a cloudy day." Cassandra was a vital part of "Blessed Beyond Belief Bows and Things" and "Blessed Beyond Belief Event Planning" businesses owned and operated by her sister, Nelliah Theet and nephew Lamale Williams. Cassandra, one with a servant's heart, selflessly served and assisted others, while oftentimes forsaking and sacrificing her own needs.

From birth to 1983, Cassandra attended Johnson Grove Holiness Church in Benson, NC. Cassandra then attended church at Mt. Calvary Holiness Church in Four Oaks from 1983 until 1985 and was a member of the choir. Cassandra did participate in the Sunday School department at Mt. Livingstone Holiness Church in Selma for a short period of time. The Lord led her mother to start a ministry in Selma, NC in December 1985 and she joined shortly thereafter. She remained a member at Miracle Temple until her transition and served in the following capacities: Minister, Praise Team member, Choir member, Youth Department Advisor, Youth Choir Vice-President, Kitchen Committee, Leadership Support member, and Home Mission field worker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: John, Adam, & Clyde Jr., two sisters: Mary and Bonita, and two special great-nieces: Gracelyn and Ja'el.

Cassandra leaves to cherish her memories: her husband Derek Williams of Charlotte, NC, One Daughter, NeLandra Ward and One Son, Derek Ward, of the home. Seven sisters: Pastor Patricia Barfield (Lewis) of Selma, NC, Evangelist Sarah Dunn of Clayton, NC, Mother Sallie O'Neal and Evangelist Nellie Watson both of Selma, NC, Mother Sherlene Smith of Smithfield, NC, Apostle Wilma Hampton (Bishop Ray) of Zebulon, NC, and Nelliah Theet (Mikle) of Smithfield, NC. Four brothers: Deacon James Ward (Pastor Patricia) of Newton Grove, NC, Joe Ward of Benson, NC, Elder David Ward of Smithfield, NC, and Jeffrey Ward (Jean) of Silver Springs, MD. Five nieces and nephews in which she was raised up in the same home with: Evangelist U. Terrell Hill, Ebony Watson, Patricia Ward, Harriette Hall, and Ignacio Ward. Other special nephews and nieces that were very dear to her heart: Lamale Williams, II, Clyde (Trey) Ward, III, Dazoni Durogene, Khyrie (whom she affectionately called "Bart") Williams, Ny'lah (whom she affectionately called "Sophie") Scarboro, and Chloe Hampton. One aunt: Ailene Blocker of Jacksonville, NC. An uncle, Waddell Martin of Jacksonville, NC. Two special friends: Howard Watson, Linda Harris, Lasa Williams, and Minister Tashina Williams. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.
