Carey Grant Smith

Mr. Carey Grant Smith, son of the late Mrs. Martha Smith Gray was born July 12th, 1954, in Erwin, North Carolina. Carey enjoyed playing cards, doing word puzzles, and spending time with his family. He did various jobs for the community, including construction work and slaughtering with his friend Mr. Archie (Dee) McLean. Carey departed this life on June 30th, 2022, at the Universal Health Care Facility in Lillington, North Carolina. Carey leaves to cherish his memory one sister, Mrs. Jean M. Livingston (John); Two brothers Rev. Charles Smith, and Mr. Elwood Mickey Smith; one Uncle Bishop Joseph Smith, Sr. (Ernestine); two Aunts Mrs. Bessie Smith, Mrs. Alberta Smith. He also leaves eight nieces, two nephews, two great-great nephews, one great-great niece, a goddaughter, Suellen Gore, and a host of relatives and friends
