Blanche Elnora Frazier McFarland, affectionately known as Peggy, peacefully passed away on May 6, 2026, at UNC Health in Smithfield, NC. Her kindness and vibrant spirit touched countless lives, leaving a legacy of laughter, compassion, and memories that will endure for generations.
Peggy was the only daughter born to the late Booker T. Frazier and Mary Lee Frazier on April 21, 1949, in Johnston County, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Cecil Frazier and Booker T. Frazier, Jr.
For all who knew her, Peggy was a stranger to no one. She could strike up a conversation anywhere and kept everyone laughing with her stories. She loved all types of flowers, gardening, crossword puzzles, and cooking. Peggy was a member of Union Hill AME Church, where she served on the Missionary Committee. She was always ready to help her family and community, and she will be truly missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory three sons: Mr. Thomas (Barbara) Frazier of Wilson’s Mills, NC, Mr. Eddie Holliday of Snow Hill, NC, and Mr. James R. Holliday, Sr. of Deltona, FL; one daughter, Mrs. Frances (Gary) Johnson of Benson, NC; three granddaughters: Mrs. Shanté (Alphonza) Gilchrist of Raleigh, NC, Ms. Tanisha Dunn of Deltona, FL, and Ms. Deirdre Johnson of Clayton, NC; two grandsons: Mr. James R. Holliday II of Colorado Springs, CO, and Mr. Christopher K. Holliday of Jacksonville, FL; four great-grandchildren: Kristian Gilchrist, Ajalyn Tollman, Aspen Gilchrist, and Tatiana Dunn; one special grand pup, Bentley Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Though Peggy may be gone from our sight, her love, warmth, and joyful spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
