September 20, 1939 – March 9, 2026Betty Starling Nunn, 86, passed away on March 9, 2026. Born on September 20, 1939, Betty lived a long life shaped by her resilience and direct way of seeing the world. She was the daughter of the late Troy Andrew Starling and Rosalie Worley Starling and was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin F. Nunn Sr. Betty was the mother of Andy R. Nunn (Gloria) and Rosemary N. Joyner (Royce).  She was preceded in death by her son, Benjamin "Benny" F. Nunn Jr. (Jayne). She is also survived by her grandchildren Drew, Charlotte, Andrew, Trey, and Caitlin, and was preceded in death by her grandchildren Tyler and Kari Louise.She is survived by her sisters, Joyce Thomas and Andra Price, and was preceded in death by her brother, Billy Starling.Betty was matter-of-fact and straightforward. She spoke plainly and approached life in her own way. She did not soften her words or her opinions, and those who knew her understood exactly where they stood. Her strength showed itself in persistence and in living life on her own terms.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 17, at Evergreen Funeral Home Cemetery & Cremations. 

Family and friends are invited to attend and pay their respects. Her life, like most, held both joys and challenges, and today her family acknowledges her life in full — remembering her in their own individual ways.
