Anita Strickland

Anita Kay Strickland 63, born April 27 1963. Anita passed away May 23, 2026 at SECU Hospice House, Anita was the daughter of the late Bill and Irene Capps of Selma , NC. Anita attended Governor Morehead School for the Blind, Raleigh, NC. Anita later moved to Princeton and lived with her dear cousin, Jackie Woods, who later became her caretaker and loved her dearly. Anita found much joy in her dog Frisky; and sharing memorable times with her husband. Preceding her in death is her parents Bill and Irene Capps, her daughter Elizabeth Peacock. Surviving is her husband of 17 years, Tommy Strickland. Through her loving husband, Anita was introduced to some amazing people that truly cared and loved her; Amy and Derek Clifton, Michele Godwin, Lisa Valentino, Tammy Slaughter Watson, Joan and Tony Capps and all of Tommy’s South Johnston classmates of 1985. Anita will be truly missed.
