Alonzo ''Hawkeye'' Royal

On Wednesday, May 4, 2022, Alonzo "Hawkeye" Royal passed away
at the age of 84 years old at Transition Lifecare in Raleigh NC. Alonzo was born
weighing one pound on February 2nd, 1938. His mother always said this
baby was going to be strong. He is the oldest grandchild of the late Junius
Lynn and oldest of his eight siblings.
Alonzo was a man of little words, but with a big heart. He was always
a hard worker. Alonzo did not have much of an education. His education
was life. He quit school in the six graded at an early age to get jobs to help
take care of his sisters and brothers. He worked on farms, in factories, and on
automobiles. Alonzo started his own business fixing tires for large and small
vehicles with his three sons. He also like fishing and working on the lawnmower He was
a proud black man wanting more.
Alonzo Royal predeceased by death his parents Almon" Snoot" Royal
and Winnie "Sue Lynn" Royal, brothers Herman, Melvin, and Billy Royal and
sister Mary Barnes.
Alonzo Royal leaves to cherish the memory of his daughter Jeanette (Daniel)
Sanders, Sarah (Charles) Summers of Raleigh NC, and sons Alonzo (Fiancé
Belinda) Royal of Wendell Nc, John (Marlene) Royal of Angier NC, and June
Royal and Rodriquez Hinton of Knightdale NC and their Mother Jeanetta S
Royal, his brother George Royal, two sisters Aggie and Betty Sue Royal and
his Aunt Annie Lynn of Cleveland NC.
He will truly be missed by his 10 grandchildren, great children, a host
of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. And to his youngest grandbaby
Benjamin Green, Jr. for making a memory with him that we hope will last him
a lifetime.
